For the purification of industrial wastewater the removal of toxic substances, both ionic and non-ionic, is a crucial task. We offer a wide range of special Lewatit® ion exchange resins and adsorbers that remove many types of heavy metal ions and organic pollutants efficiently. Due to the high selectivity of the resins, extremely low effluent concentrations are economically achievable, thus providing cost savings by achieving minimal or even zero liquid discharge. Additionally, precious metals can be recovered and value is preserved by recycling.

Sustainability is all around us. As soon as a journal is opened you will at least find more than one article dealing with sustainability or bio-based materials. This development (if not used as green-washing) is the right way to go, because only with innovative solutions will the industry move forward. 

LANXESS has recently established a Product Sustainability Monitor to evaluate its complete product portfolio under sustainability aspects. Moreover, we created the new brand SCOPEBLUE with products using higher amounts of sustainable resources compared to conventional products.  

A biocide, as a hazardous chemical, is normally added in a very low amount to a final product but has a substantial influence on its quality. 
How does this impact sustainability?
