Esters can be added to PAO-based automotive lubricants where they are useful as an additive to improve lubricity, seal compatibility, cleanliness and additive solubility. Our diverse portfolio of diesters, polyolesters and complex esters, covering a range of viscosities, are an excellent choice in a variety of automotive applications. All of them have low pourpoints to ensure fluidity in cold weather. Diesters and Polyolesters have good miscibility with low viscosity PAO. Check the miscibility when blending esters with high viscosity PAO as not all esters are suitable for this purpose.
