Climate-friendlier alternatives and more sustainable products
LANXESS will introduce Purox® S Scopeblue®, the climate-friendlier alternative to the conventional nature-identical and readily biodegradable Purox S product. The LANXESS Scopeblue brand label is used to identify its own products with a CO2 footprint at least 50 percent lower than that of conventional products or which consist of at least 50 percent sustainable raw materials. Purox S Scopeblue is produced with green energy and renewable raw materials, according to the ISCC Plus mass balance approach, and as a result, is nearly climate-neutral. As it is chemically identical to standard Purox S, manufacturers do not need to make any formulation changes when converting to the Scopeblue variant. Purox S Scopeblue is an excellent solution for formulators who want to take advantage of the reliable preservative effect of sodium benzoate and reduce the overall product carbon footprint in formulations.
LANXESS also offers more sustainable product alternatives for the majority of its portfolio of preservatives, fragrances and flavors that enable manufacturers to reduce their carbon footprint along the entire value chain. Additionally, the production sites for these products are all certified to the ISCC Plus standard.
Powerful solutions from the well-known IPEL® product range
With high physical and chemical compatibility, multifunctional actives from the IPEL® product range are particularly suitable for the preservation of dermocosmetic products and the delicate eye area. These versatile molecules, available in their original base, can be used alone or synergistically with other active ingredients to enhance product efficacy and stability. Combining safety, compatibility and performance in one powerful solution, LANXESS’ IPEL range sets a new standard in cosmetic preservation.
