Lewatit® VP OC 1064 MD PH is a biopharmaceutical- and food-grade, monodisperse, macroporous adsorber resin without functional groups based on a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer. The beads of uniform size possess an excellent mechanical and osmotical stability. It has been optimized for special applications within bioprocessing industries, such as for capture, purification, decolorization of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, food and natural extract products, e.g., proteins, amino acids, antibiotics such as cephalosporin, streptomycin, tetracyclines.
Lewatit® VP OC 1064 MD PH is suitable for removing and adsorbing following ingredients in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and bioprocessing industry, e.g., from fermentation streams, organic production streams or waste water:
- Anionic, cationic and non-ionic surfactants
- Chlorinated and nitrated hydrocarbons
- Colorants and organic inert materials
- Residual amounts of liquid extractants, e.g., tributyl phosphate, di-2-ethylhexal phosphate (D2EHPA)
- Non-polar organic ingredients with low molecular mass
- Purification of natural products, e.g., antibiotics, amino acids, vitamins, enzymes
