Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

LANXESS sees itself as part of a society in which equality is lived and diversity is valued - and is actively involved in creating it. To foster equality of opportunities as an example, LANXESS has launched the "Diversity & Inclusion" initiative - with the aim of further developing diversity at LANXESS and using its positive effects for the company. International assignments of employees play a key role here. With flexible working hours, part-time or home office models and in-house childcare facilities, the company also supports the reconciliation of family and career. By the end of the 2018 financial year, the proportion of women in middle and upper management was just under 20 percent, and by 2020 it is expected to be at least 20 percent. 

Even the youngest are shown that chemistry is no longer a matter for men with an exciting programme for Girls' Day. And: LANXESS is also committed to introducing or expanding a country-specific design at its non-European sites for maternity leave, which is by no means a global standard.
