Baytown Area Community Advisory Panel

LANXESS operates a facility in Baytown, TX and is a longtime active participant in the Baytown Area Community Advisory Panel, which provides a forum for local community members to ask questions and provide feedback to companies operating within the chemical park. Since its inception in 1997, the CAP was an opportunity to address the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Risk Management Program, and has since evolved into an ongoing advisory body, with a committee comprised of both industry representatives and community members. This collaborative approach has successfully allowed for continuous dialogue and consultation, ensuring that the concerns and interests of the community are effectively addressed in relation to environmental risk management.

The Baytown Area CAP meets monthly and provides a means for ongoing, constructive conversations that increase communication, understanding and trust between industry and its community neighbors as it addresses mutual interests, challenges and concerns.
