Blocked Isocyanate Dispersions designed for Water-based 1K Systems
Our range of water-based blocked isocyanate dispersions can be used as crosslinkers and adhesion promoters for coatings and finishes on flexible and hard substrates. The Trixene® Aqua range offers a wide pH latitude including anionic and nonionic types, which are easy to formulate with good compatibility to a range of aqueous auxiliaries and other additives. These products can be used together with our water-based Witcobond® polyurethane dispersions (PUD) to formulate 1K coatings with improved chemical resistance, coating adhesion, and robustness.

Applications
Fiber sizing
Trixene® Aqua can be used in glass fiber sizing to
- Improve strand integrity and reduce fuzz formation
- Increase compatibility with resin matrix, e.g. PA, PES, Epoxy
- Provide synergy with Witcobond® PUD for superior results
Textile and Fabric
- Trixene® Aqua offer highly flexible coatings with relatively low unblocking temperature for textile and fabric coatings
- In stoving coatings for fiber impregnation, enhancing adhesion, tensile strength and washout under severe conditions
