Disinfectants based on LANXESS active substances are not only effective against microorganisms in animal biosecurity, but are also effective against disease-causing pathogens in the human health sector, including SARS Related coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Furthermore, phenolics are known to effectively kill Mycobacterium tuberculosis, making them eligible actives for use in hospitals, industrial & institutional areas.

APPLICABLE IN HAND HYGIENE PRODUCTS

 

Proper hand hygiene is key for preventing the spread of infectious diseases. LANXESS offers Preventol® CMK and Preventol® O extra for the formulation of hand soaps with antimicrobial claims and/or for the formulation of hand disinfectants. These active substances can be used as an alternative for alcohol based disinfectant at very low concentrations, such as 0.2% (depending on the application).
